With the AHR Expo kicking off in Chicago today, Sunday was a time for hospitality suites and parties. Perhaps none rocked as loud as the Danfoss Customer Appreciation Event at the House of Blues.
ClimaCool hosted a training session followed by a reception at the Trump Tower Chicago on Sunday, Jan. 25, before the start of the AHR Expo. The training session, which focused on simultaneous heating and cooling systems, drew 150 attendees — about three times what was expected. Nearly double that number attended the reception.
Emerson’s Sunday night Customer Event helped kick off AHR Expo 2015 in grand style. More than 1,000 attendees packed the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry for the event, which featured good food and drink and great conversation.

One of the highlights of the AHR Expo — the winners of the 2015 AHR Expo Innovation Awards, representing the major segments of the HVACR marketplace — are on the display at the show. The winning entries were selected in 10 categories as the most innovative new products among the thousands being displayed.
In addition to checking out the wide range of new products at the show, attendees should also consider taking advantage of some of the educational opportunities available at the 2015 AHR Expo.

Emerson Climate Technologies is hosting a series of free seminars at its booth, No. 5010. The seminars are being held Monday, Jan. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Embraco, a major manufacturer of compressors for domestic and commercial applications, is offering technical training sessions at the AHR Expo. The training will be held at the company’s booth, No. 5255.
In July of 2014, California’s 2013 Title 24 mandates went into effect requiring certifications for all technicians who want to perform mechanical acceptance testing of buildings’ HVAC systems. This AHR Expo session will detail the mandates as well as the required acceptance tests.
This AHR Expo educational session will look at the latest trends in the global HVAC market, with a special focus on the Americas. The session will look at heating, cooling, renewable energy, and intelligent building control technologies.
