enVerid Systems announced that it has been awarded $2.4 million through a cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to accelerate the deployment of the company’s new HVAC Load Reduction (HLR™) technology for buildings.

Workiva, provider of a cloud-based and mobile-enabled platform for enterprises to compile, report, and analyze critical business data, has announced a strategic partnership with Urjanet, a provider of automated energy data. Workiva said this partnership will allow customers who use its Wdesk product to directly tap into Urjanet’s energy data.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced $5 million in funding for nine projects that will advance the development of combined heat and power (CHP) and renewable energy technologies at facilities across the federal government and help meet energy efficiency, renewable energy, and greenhouse gas reduction goals.

The Thread Group announced that it has opened membership and will begin accepting applications from companies interested in using the Thread protocol in their products.
