Adsorption Chillers Use Energy from Waste Heat, with Very Low Electricity Consumption

Power Partners Inc. (PPI) and Bry-Air Asia, headquartered in India, have signed a license agreement for Bry-Air Asia to manufacture and sell PPI’s ECO-MAX brand adsorption chillers in India and other markets. This agreement enables Bry-Air Asia to further expand its product portfolio to include closed-loop adsorption products.
Optimum Energy, a provider of data-driven heating and cooling optimization solutions for enterprise facilities, announced that it has appointed Bert Valdman as president and chief executive officer. Valdman joins the company Energy from Edison International, where he was senior vice president and chief strategy officer.
A research group led by Jim Rawlings, the Paul A. Elfers professor, and W. Harmon Ray, professor of chemical and biological engineering, University of Wisconsin-Madison, has partnered with Johnson Controls to develop better HVAC control systems for large commercial buildings.
