The building automation market is forecast to experience steady but incremental growth over the next five years, generating $45 billion in 2021, according to a report from ABI Research. Europe will be the biggest market in terms of revenue followed by North America and Asia Pacific in 2021.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is matching a $2.25 million Clean Energy Fund grant from the Washington Department of Commerce to research, develop, and demonstrate the technologies needed to create smart buildings, campuses, and cities to better manage energy usage.
