Axiom Raises Funds to Meet Demand for Energy Storage in Refrigeration

Refrigeration Battery solution intelligently stores and deploys cooling to reduce peak energy demand

Axiom Exergy announced it has raised $2.5 million from investors to assist in scaling its thermal energy storage solution in the grocery store and cold storage facility markets. Using its Refrigeration Battery, Axiom said supermarkets and food distribution centers can reduce their peak energy demand by up to 40 percent.

Primarily driven by rising number of hypermarkets, specialty food stores, and supermarkets across the globe

The global commercial refrigeration equipment market was valued at $36.63 billion in 2015, and is expected to generate revenue of $61.44 billion by the end of 2021, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of slightly over 9 percent between 2016 and 2021, according to a report from Zion Market Research.
