NREL Evaluates Fuel Cell Technologies in Early Market Applications

Last April, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced a substantial investment of $114.3 million in funding for the rapid deployment of approximately 1,000 fuel cell systems in key early markets including combined heat and power (CHP). A team from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is now assessing these systems.

Health Care Facility Relies on Standby Power for All Loads, Including HVAC

When Halifax Health recently added the new 10-story France Tower to the campus for inpatient and emergency treatment, it selected a 4.5 MW MTU Onsite Energy standby power system. With power outages common in Florida, officials sized the system to supply all the loads in the new tower, including HVAC.
