The High Cost of Deferred Maintenance

“Deferred maintenance” is a terrible misnomer for what really happens when maintenance doesn’t get performed for a long time. Another name is “catastrophic failure.” According to participants in a recent NEWS online survey, results of putting off maintenance too long can range from simple component failures to major pieces of equipment dying much too soon.

AHRI Announces Officers and Awards

Keith Coursin, president of Desert Aire Corp., headquartered in Germantown, Wis., was elected chairman of the board of directors of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) at the organization’s board of directors meeting. Other officers were elected and seven industry leaders were recognized with special awards.
