Among the system’s key enhancements from previous versions are graphics available across multiple mobile devices, alarm management that enables alarm prioritization for improved productivity, and improved scheduling and custom trending that save time and ease troubleshooting. 

The installation included a 227-kW solar photovoltaic array on the school’s roof, a wood pellet boiler to supply most of the school’s heating needs, and replacement of 42 classroom ventilators and all the windows that are original to the 1961 portion of the building

The 6-, 8-, 12-, 14-, 16-, and 24-ton VRF heat pump systems feature inverter compressor technology with highly efficient heating function down to minus 13°F ambient air temperature due to scroll compressor and liquid-injection technologies. 

Additionally, Capital Heating & Cooling completed the installation of two Luxaire packaged heating and cooling units, ductwork for the units, and a Luxaire ductless mini-split system.

These single-package rooftop units are available in 50- to 65-ton cooling capacities. The units offer double-wall construction, single-point power connection, and efficiency ratings that exceed ASHRAE 90.1 standards. 

This addition to the Champion Direct Replacement rooftop solution features advanced controls and an optional Mobile Access Portal (MAP) Gateway and fault detection and diagnostics (FDD). 

As Johnson Controls celebrates this significant milestone, the company has extended its sponsorship by committing an additional $750,000 to the wish-granting organization from 2015 through 2017.
