June 29, 2004: ACCA's Manual S Under ANSI Review

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced that the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) public review period for Manual S as a new industry standard is now underway and will close on Aug. 3, 2004.

Manual S, Residential Equipment Selection, is a comprehensive guide for residential heating and cooling equipment selection. It is one of a series of ACCA manuals used in the design and installation of residential HVAC systems.

ACCA's Manual D, Residential Duct Systems, and Manual J8, Residential Load Calculation, have already been approved as ANSI standards.

This proposed standard for Manual S is referenced as BSR/ACCA 3 Manual S-200x. For additional information, contact Dick Shaw at dick.shaw@acca.org.
