ST. LOUIS - Emerson Climate Technologies has announced the launch of its online store for contractor educational resources. According to the company, the newly developed Website provides contractors with a one-stop, convenient location to electronically register for and/or purchase Emerson Climate's instructor-led training, distance-learning training, instructional videos, interactive CDs, and literature.

"In order for contractors to maintain a thorough understanding of the latest industry trends and technologies, it's important that they have easy access to educational materials and seminars," said Larry Banas, director of Emerson Climate Technologies' Educational Services. "This new online store gives contractors 24-hour access to one of the industry's most comprehensive sets of training courses and educational tools. It allows contractors to conveniently learn more about our offerings and then easily select the educational tools that are right for them."

One of the biggest benefits that the store brings to the contractor is the opportunity to take a number of courses online, says the company. Contractors can do this from their own homes or offices and at a time that's convenient for them. The site currently features 10 different online training programs, and there are plans to add more programs in the future. The online courses are designed to be highly interactive, yet easy to use. The programs are said to be ideal for brushing up on the basics or helping prepare for an instructor-led course. Each session takes about 20 minutes to complete.

In addition to the distance-learning modules, Emerson's online educational store offers contractors the ability, through a secure login, to register for courses and purchase educational materials. Instructor-led training programs available include the Compressor Operations and Service Seminar (COSS) and Air Conditioning Scroll Training.
