The Department of Energy (DOE) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) have signed an agreement that continues and expands their partnership on DOE’s buildings programs. Their joint work includes: encouraging improvements in the quality of the indoor environment; advocating an increased use of renewable, clean energy sources; working to reduce the environmental impact of buildings; and promoting economic opportunities through recognized high-performance designs and energy-efficient structures.
