The Advanced Groove System (AGS) is a mechanical coupling assembly system in the 14- to 24-inch pipe size range. Designed for use in a variety of commercial building and industrial applications, the AGS features a wedge-shaped groove, which provides high-pressure ratings up to 350 psi. The new design, with a more robust housing profile and a deeper, wider groove, ensures strong joint integrity and a continuous seal around the gasket, as well as a longer A dimension to eliminate pipe flare. The couplings consist of a two-piece housing secured with two bolts. AGS joints help keep the pipe straight and prevent pipe axial growth and compression and resist pipe-to-pipe rotation.
