The National Fire Protection Agency (Quincy, Mass.) reported that Connecticut adopted its NFPA 1, Uniform Fire Codeâ„¢ and the NFPA 101Â®, Life Safety CodeÂ®.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Inc. (Northbrook, Ill.) opened a new HVACR energy-efficiency testing facility in Dallas.
