Version 2 of Accubid Enterprise Estimating (AEE) is a specification-driven estimating software designed for piping and mechanical contractors. It allows multiple estimators to share jobs in real time. New enhancements include a new power search and update feature, ability to calculate net prices using multiplier or discount, control over which attributes get copied with a job, and the ability to print or print preview system specifications. Takeoff attributes can include automatic pipe cuts, hangers, insulation, joints, paint, and tracing. Field labor and shop labor is calculated separately. Multiple estimators can divide up a job by drawings, systems, floors, or any other method of breakdown, and work on each segment simultaneously. AEE can be configured to allow estimators to just see their own work within the audit trail, or to see everyone else's as well. The preferences and takeoff settings for individual estimators are stored in separate AEE profiles, which are automatically applied whenever they log on. Bids are prepared using consistent labor units and pricing.
