ORLANDO, Fla. - Texas Instruments Sensors & Controls is demonstrating the networking capabilities of DiagnosTECHâ„¢, its residential gas furnace ignition control. According to the company, DiagnosTECH-enabled furnaces automatically record a log of condition data in real-time and remotely communicate to maintenance personnel through a home's existing Internet connection to better pinpoint failures, prioritize repair initiatives, and reduce service times and costs.

Data can then be collected and stored, allowing technicians to better assess performance and schedule routine maintenance to help prevent furnace failures.
