K-Flexâ„¢ AL Clad insulation systems can be used when insulating HVAC pipe and ducts in areas where easy cleanup is needed, such as food processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing. It is available in both tubular and sheet form. The insulation is a composite product comprised of flexible closed-cell elastomeric insulation adhered to an outer covering of polypropylene sheet laminated to an aluminum foil. The cladding requires no jacketing and provides protection from abuse when used in high-traffic areas and UV rays when used outdoors. The product can be used within a temperature range of -297 degrees to 220 degrees F. The sheet and rolls are available with an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive with fiberglass scrim reinforcement and a moisture- and tear-resistant polyolefin liner.
