The Raz Panelâ„¢ is an insulator, vapor barrier, and tube holder for subslab radiant heat applications. It is a modular 2- by 4-foot panel made from expandable polystyrene foam with a nominal thickness of 2 inches and an overall thickness of 2-7/8 inches. Each panel has a 10-mil vapor barrier. According to the manufacturer, the Raz Panel keeps the tubing below the working surface of the panel and allows people to walk across installed panels and tubing with ease. The tongue and groove interlock fastens panels together. The grid holds 1/2-inch and 5/8-inch PEX pipe. The panel's thermal resistance is R-11.9.
