Pi Tape: Diameter Measuring Tape
Pi Tape diameter measuring tape is an instrument that allows measuring of round and out-of-round forms to find out the true diameters, the company states. The unit is low-tech and uncomplicated, yet extremely accurate and cost effective, says the manufacturer. To take a measurement, wrap the gauge around the inside or outside of a form. These gauges are available either in inches or millimeters. The English-unit gauge reads to a diameter of 0.001 inches with an accuracy of ± 0.001 inches up to 144 inches, states the company. The metric-unit gauge reads to 0.01-mm diameter, with an accuracy of ±0.03mm up to 3,600mm, the manufacturer says.
