New water systems pump motors are designed for use as centrifugal pumps, jet pumps, and booster pumps. The capacitor start electrical designs offer superior starting torque at all times, states the manufacturer. Features include permanently lubricated ball bearings on both ends of motor (locked drive end bearing); five-point mounting surface on square flange bracket; durable, nonmetallic switch arm; corrosion-resistant, 416 stainless steel shaft extensions; and corrosion-resistant powder paint on the motor frame. The positive positioning snap-fit actuator, which slides on a plastic spool, is approved for over 500,000 cycles. The shaft flats and screwdriver slot are accessible for easy impeller assembly or removal, says the company.
