The DC7 is a high-performance cyclone separator for steam and air applications. Its lightweight, stainless steel design has no moving parts, resulting in corrosion-resistant, maintenance-free operation, states the company. It is used to disentrain condensate from steam, air, and various gases. It is available in pipe sizes up to 2 inches in diameter, pressures up to 362 psig, and temperatures up to 572 degrees F. According to the manufacturer, the DC7 achieves condensate separation efficiency of 98 percent at 100 feet per second (efficiencies improve with lower velocities).
