The refrigeration monitoring system continuously monitors the refrigerant charge throughout the entire system, recording and providing an accounting of the system's refrigerant charge. Utilizing load cells, the monitoring system is able to weigh the contents of the receiver and condenser while monitoring refrigerant in the system. The load cells send a voltage signal to the control system to monitor and log changes. Alarm levels can be established based on the summed value, which can serve as notification of a refrigerant leak. The monitoring system documents refrigerant charge through controller logs, and enhances the ability to verify and document that refrigerant leaks have been repaired completely.
