A suite of building software, which includes Revit® Building 8 and Building Systems 2006, has been updated. Revit Building 8 is a building information modeling (BIM) system that allows engineers, designers, and architects to work on buildings holistically rather than on separate floor plans, sections, and elevations. Building Systems 2006 enables buildings systems engineers to develop construction documents that clearly represent design intent. Also, it provides easier access to the engineering design data and exporting to third-party applications, including fabrication and estimating, the company says.
