The Talking Thermostat's EZ Talk feature audibly guides homeowners through every step of programming their heating-cooling system. If service is needed, the thermostat tells homeowners the name and contact information of the dealer who installed the equipment. A prerecorded voice message, which can be customized by the dealer or contractor, is programmed to provide information, in a male or female voice. Also, this thermostat reminds homeowners when it is time to clean or replace a filter and when to perform annual maintenance and routine service. Other features include lit LCD that shows current temp, set points, and heating or cooling mode; separate weekday and weekend programs, which allow for four time-temperature settings each day; manual override; low-battery warning; and automatic heat at 40 degrees F, even if the batteries are dead or not installed, states the company.
