SAN JOSE, Calif. - Echelon Corp., creator of the LonWorks® device-networking platform for connecting everyday devices to each other and the Internet, and Gorenje, d.d., Slovenia's largest exporter of household appliances and one of Europe's largest household goods manufacturers, announced that Gorenje's next generation of networked home appliances will be based on Echelon's technology. The new line of appliances will include refrigerators, dishwashers, microwave ovens, and conventional ovens.
