The embedded Programmable Application Software (PAS) modules are enhancements to the GP10 and VG10 Series AC drives. The company says that the PAS modules expand the capability and functionality of the drives without the addition of external devices. The PAS operates in the drive's internal flash memory. It enables customers to augment their application solutions with special logic function customized displays and reconfigured I/Os. The PAS can set up internal drive sequences. For example, when a start command is received, the drive will accelerate to a speed, maintain it for a set time, then accelerate to a new speed for a set time, then reverse direction at a set speed for a time, and then stop.
