Westermeyer Industries: Three-Way Valves
Three-way valves made of nickel-plated steel are available for the refrigeration and air conditioning sectors. These valves are designed to handle a minimum of 500 psig and can be rated up to 1,000 psig if necessary. The valve temperature ratings extend from -20 degrees to 300 degrees F, which makes them suitable for refrigerants and other industrial fluids not corrosive to brass and steel, states the manufacturer. One of the products in the three-way valve line is a swivel-style valve. According to the company, the swivel-style valve doesn't use the normal pipe thread connection, thus eliminating a potential leak.
