The patent-pending LCD®-7UL Aerial Snow Controller, a member of the Snow Switch® family, directly controls heaters for small areas, such as sidewalks, steps, wheelchair ramps, and entrance ways. It senses snow so that it operates only when needed, the company states. The unit uses its Melt Track™ technique to estimate when melting is completed, which reduces the continued heater operation to one hour. When power is applied, the Sno-Test™ feature performs a self-test for verification of snow-melting operation. The controller has a two-year limited warranty.
