The Air Performa EAH air-cooled chillers with dry expansion evaporators are designed for operation with R-134a. Features of the chillers include screw compressors with capacity steps, crankcase heater, and motor thermal protection; counter-current-type shell-and-tube evaporator; aluminum-finned condensing coils; microprocessor EmiPlus; and direct-coupled axial fans with thermal protection and safety grid. The cooling circuit is made up of copper pipes, thermostatic valve, dehydrating filter, sight glass, shutoff valve on the liquid line, nonreturn valve on compressor’s discharge, high- and low-pressure gauges, high- and low-pressure switches, and high-pressure safety valve.
