The new duct pincher facilitates alignment and closing of ductwork gaps, allowing easy insertion of drive cleats, the company states. One end of the tool has a tapered, Y-shaped opening. The channel formed by this opening draws the ends of the ducts together and pinches the gap closed, creating the best possible alignment for installing the drive cleat, says the manufacturer. Once aligned, the duct pincher's built-in drive guide allows the installer to insert a drive cleat to close the seam. The duct pincher adapts to ductwork gap sizes up to 1 inch wide.
