YORK, Pa. - York International Corp. has acquired the Verseconâ„¢ line of indoor, vertical, self-contained air-conditioning units from Des Champs Technologies, a manufacturer of energy-recovery systems, air conditioning systems, and process dehumidification equipment. The Versecon line consists of water-, air-, or remote-cooled systems from 12 to 90 tons. York plans to launch the product under its new name, York Versecon, in summer 2004.
"The Versecon product line is a great fit in York's existing broad line of product and system solutions," said Jim Macosko, commercial products director for York International. Meanwhile, Des Champs Technologies will focus on its custom engineered products, said Tom Hockycko, executive vice president of marketing for Des Champs Technologies.
