The AMPCO® brand grease duct provides zero clearance to combustibles by integrating the traditional fire-rated shaft and site-built grease duct into a compact, factory-built duct system, the manufacturer says. Model IVSI-4ZC grease duct is constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and is available in 6- to 36-inch diameters. The product has nut-and-bolt connections. The spacers ensure the duct sections are aligned and properly supported, the company states. According to the manufacturer, the zero-clearance grease duct is an excellent alternative to traditional designs that require the construction of one- or two-hour fire-rated shaft enclosures and on-site welded grease duct.
