AirGard® lab hood monitors are designed to indicate safe levels of airflow in laboratory fume hoods. According to the company, Models 200, 335, and 405 lab hood monitors continuously monitor lab hood face velocity by measuring the air velocity of clean air from the room passing through the air inlet on the front of the monitor. When the face velocity drops below a user-defined level, the monitors activate an audible alarm, a visual alarm, and a relay output. The 200 and 335 monitors are mounted flush, and the 405 monitor is surface-mounted and is ideal for retrofitting existing lab hoods, says the company.
