The ACM3SA carbon monoxide (CO) instrument is designed to react rapidly to exposure to CO. The manufacturer states that because the detector starts responding almost instantaneously when it's exposed to CO, it is ideal for use during a walk-through to ascertain where CO levels are the highest. It displays CO levels from 0 to 1,000 ppm (2,000 ppm with 5 minutes maximum exposure time). It has an "average" function so the service technician can minimize digit bounce easily, says the company. The ACM3SA also can be separated so that the sensor head can be attached to the company's DL2 data logger for sensing CO levels when the technician is not present. Accuracy is ±5 percent of reading, ±5 ppm after zeroing, the company says.
