The XLD Series heavy-duty digital reduced-voltage solid-state soft starter for motors has an overload protection based on a dynamic thermal register retained in its memory. This means it has retentive thermal memory, dynamic reset capacity, and provides true thermal modeling, says the manufacturer. An “intuitive” digital keypad operator allows the user to program motor FLA, accel ramps, current limit, motor overload protection, decel ramp, and more. The alphanumeric display provides status indication for both the starter and motor, displaying output current, trip fault codes, and storing a time-and-date-stamped history of the last three fault conditions. Its rating ranges from 10 to 1,250 hp and to 600V.
