ASHTABULA, OH — Apple Heating Inc., headquartered here, formed a team to participate in the Ashtabula portion of the American Heart Walk on Sunday, October 6, 2002. The event was sponsored by the American Heart Association.
Apple Heating's team captain was service manager Stan Zwaduk, the survivor of two heart attacks. The team consisted of 16 Apple Heating employees and family members. The team raised $1,100 and the Ashtabula walk raised over $77,000 for heart and stroke research, far exceeding the community’s goal of $35,000.
