The Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) and representatives from its member companies will gather on the podium overlooking the floor of the New York Stock Exchange to ring the closing bell on Aug. 9.

The event will be broadcast live on cable networks such as CNBC and will highlight the July 3 through Aug. 15 period known as “Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Appreciation Days.” This time period is when the industry promotes the benefits to society provided by air conditioning and refrigeration.

“Many lives have been transformed by this technology that enhances people’s comfort, health, safety, and productivity around the world,” said ARI board chairman Daniel W. Holmes Jr. “This is an excellent opportunity to showcase this industry’s contributions to society.”
