The Caribe® gas-fired, low-intensity, infrared heater is suitable for hard-to-heat residential and small commercial areas including barns, garages, workshops, hobby greenhouses, small warehouses, service centers, and lobbies, says the manufacturer. The ceiling-mounted heater is designed to take on the challenge of heating poorly insulated areas, spaces where there are significant air changes resulting from opening overhead doors, and areas with space constraints, says the company. The heater can be used with either natural gas or propane and is fired with a direct-spark ignition. The 30,000-Btuh unit is 8 ft long, while both the 40,000- and 50,000-Btuh units are 11 ft, 6 in. long.
