The painted FAS-NER System® is a simple punch-and-die operation, which automatically feeds, punches, inserts, and locks the self-piercing unit, producing a solid joint in one high-cycle operation. It can join dissimilar metals and thicknesses. The unit's color is matched to the color of the painted assembly, and can be inserted directly into pre-painted metal, allowing for the elimination of post-paint operations.
