WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Carrier Northeast here has given aid to the disaster relief efforts following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, DC.
The wholesaler sent a shipment of heating and cooling equipment to the New York City Disaster Recovery Office, which had to relocate its quarters from the former World Trade Center. The wholesaler’s New Jersey office is working with a local building contractor in Somerset, NJ, to compile a list of readily available hvac equipment that could be used in New York.
Cardie Saunders, regional sales manager for Carrier Northeast, said, “It is our profound hope that every corporation able to lend support to the individuals and organizations working to rebuild our nation will do so without hesitation.”
Many Carrier branches also organized blood drives to assist the American Red Cross.
