CHANTILLY, VA — The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has approved the Sheet Metal and Air-Conditioning Contractors National Association’s (SMACNA’s) “Seismic Restraint Manual: Guidelines for Mechanical Systems” as an American National Standard.
According to SMACNA, ANSI recognition increases the potential that standards will be internationally adopted for regulatory use, and more widely used in the U.S. by state and local governments as well as in the design and engineering community.
