The E-Z-Aire® energy recovery ventilators use a counterflow heat exchanger for ultra-effective energy transfer, says the company. These self-contained makeup air systems can bring in 100% outside air with almost no auxiliary heating or sensible cooling required. These units are available with a 70%- or 85%-effective heat exchanger, in 10 models up to 4,000 cfm. The various models enable one to choose the correct unit to remedy a variety of IAQ problems, such as removal of indoor pollutants, smoke mitigation, and humidity control, states the manufacturer.
