The Model 205 universal cable tester is a portable, standalone cable and harness tester that can be used for any type of wired assembly with up to 128 points, says the company. The connector card is designed to accept up to 28 of the most commonly used cable connectors. The user-configurable card allows mixing and matching of connector types and plugs in the tester with two 96-pin DIN connectors. The unit is fast and detects opens, shorts, and miswires in less than 50 nanosecs, the manufacturer says.
