ISH China Draws Record Crowd

Final attendance figures from ISH China are in, and the international trade fair achieved record attendance. According to audited statistics from FKM (German Society for the Voluntary Verification of Fair Exhibition Statistics), 9,385 visitors from 39 countries attended the event, a marked an increase from the last show (1998), which brought in 8,885 visitors from 20 countries.

The vast majority of the visitors were from mainland China, but 333 trade buyers from overseas came to Beijing to attend the fair, which focused on the hvac and sanitation industries.

Exhibitors from 178 companies, representing 17 countries, showed off their products and services. Approximately half of the exhibitors demonstrated heating technology and equipment.

ISH China, inaugurated in 1996, was established to benefit the industry by serving as an entry point for Western manufacturers looking to tap into the Chinese market, and as an opportunity for construction professionals in China to view technology from around the world. ISH China, a joint ven-ture between Messe Frankfurt and the China International Exhibition Co., will return to Beijing in September of 2002.
