DES PLAINES, IL — The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) has released a revised “Refrigerant Usage Certification” study guide. The guide offers information and service practices needed to meet U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements for containing, conserving, and reusing refrigerants.

The guide also includes information on revised phaseout dates, as well as specific sections focusing on the Core, Type I, Type II, and Type III certification categories, to help technicians study more efficiently.

According to Renee Tomlinson, RSES director of training and testing, “The new RSES Refrigerant Usage Certification study guide provides technicians with the most up-to-date information on the current EPA Section 608 regulations. The manual has been laid out to follow the format of the exam, so [technicians] can easily find what they need to study and be properly prepared.”

Certification training and testing is available through local RSES chapters. For more information, visit www.rses.org (website).
