The Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) of Chicago has established a new career center on its website for those interested in learning about careers in the piping industry. The “Career Opportunities” area at www.mca.org lists opportunities available through the MCA/Local Union 597 apprenticeship program.
Bill Vale, chair of the HRAI Manufacturers Division (Mississauga, ON, Canada), announces that the Heating, Refriger-ation and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) has finalized an agreement with manufacturers selling residential oil-fired furnaces in Canada, to participate in the association’s HVAC EnerGuide Program. The association says it is receiving full industry participation.
Bill Jones of Raven Mechanical (Houston, TX) was elected the chairman of Construction Contractors’ Alliance (CCA) at its recent trustee meeting.
