The VSM mini screw compressor is for industrial cooling applications. The single-screw design has one main rotor and either one or two gate rotors, depending on the model. The com-pressor is quieter than twin screws, especially gear-driven models, the company says. The compact design has no external tubing, no gear box, and an optional oil pump (based on the application), making the unit cost effective, says the manufacturer.
