Duquesne Light Co. Expands to Hvac Business

PITTSURGH, PA —Duquesne Light Co., based here, has entered into the hvac and electrical contracting business, an idea suggested by Brite House of Electricians.

Brite House suggested that the utility put together a formal program to perform electrical services for all the utility’s customers. It took 18 months to put the program together.

Brite House also acquired a 50% interest in its occasional partner on projects, Boehmer Heating and Cooling, a Bryant and Trane dealer, and member of ACCA. Duquesne Light’s hvac program, for homeowners and small businesses, will be offered through the Duquesne Home Services name.
