MILWAUKEE - Desert Aire announced that it is partnering with fellow HVAC company MSP® Technology to build energy-efficient dehumidifiers for the big box and natatorium markets. As a manufacturer of industrial refrigerant-based dehumidifiers, Desert Aire will incorporate MSP® Technology's patented heat exchanger modules into its TotalAire™ systems, thus reducing the required compressor capacity upwards of 25 percent to 50 percent.

"After we did the necessary calculations, we knew it was just a matter of time that we'd be doing business with MSP® Technology," said Desert Aire president, Keith Coursin.

Coursin explained that Desert Aire's TotalAire dehumidifiers already provide greater energy efficiency than what is commonly found in the industry. "When our engineering department confirmed our theories about the additional anticipated energy savings we could achieve by adding MSP® heat exchangers into our TotalAire units, I called Walter Stark at MSP® Technology to begin negotiating an exclusive partnership to use his modules in our equipment."
