The homes, about 1,400 square feet each, were equipped with the latest cooling technology at the time: attic fans, vented gables, windows positioned to avoid the sun, and air conditioning. The village proved how HVAC and cutting-edge technology play an important role in home comfort, a trend that has continued well into the present with smart technology.
