How Do Ductless Systems Provide Comfort and Efficiency?

Multi-zone units let you control each room individually while helping keep energy use low.

Multi-Zone Comfort: Daikin ductless multi-zone systems allow multiple areas to have individualized comfort control. This may help keep energy usage low by providing on-demand comfort depending on the space’s occupancy and usage in a home or business.

The single outdoor unit connects to multiple room-based indoor units, which can be wall-, ceiling-, or floor-mounted. There are even units that can be concealed in the ceiling. Daikin ductless heat pump systems are all electric and equipped with adaptive inverter technology, helping to maintain consistent and comfortable temperatures in each room.

Single-Zone Space Conversion: More than 50% of homes in the United States have a covered, closed garage. While it is useful to park the car in your garage, it can also be your space to reclaim and enjoy. Converting unconditioned garages, attics, basements, sunrooms, and more, whether you’re creating a home gym, hobby space, or workshop, can add enjoyable living space and value to a home, opening the door to new possibilities. Daikin’s single zone ductless systems provide targeted, energy efficient heating and cooling to help keep converted spaces comfortable throughout the year without the need for ductwork.

Daikin ductless systems are designed to provide efficient heating and cooling, making them great for many non-ducted home additions.

Flexible, Space-Saving Design: Mini-split systems are compact, ductless, and can be mounted on walls or ceilings, freeing up valuable floor space.

No Ductwork Required: Avoid the hassle and expense of installing complex ductwork. Mini-split systems don’t require ducts and feature minimal installation work, making them a cost-effective, energy efficient choice.

Quick Installation: Mini-split systems can be installed in a few hours and with minimal disruption to your property, allowing you to utilize your new, comfortable area fast. Some Daikin mini-split systems operate on 115V, making them compatible with standard residential electrical systems without the need for an electrical panel upgrade.

Quiet Operation: Mini-split systems operate quietly, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for everyone.

Why Ductless?

Energy Efficiency: Mini-split heat pump systems are designed to provide all-electric, high efficiency, year-round indoor comfort. This means low utility bills and a small carbon footprint.

Zoned Comfort: You control the temperature in a room or zone independently, ensuring your new space remains comfortable without wasting energy on unoccupied areas. And you can easily turn them off when not in use, without affecting the rest of the house.

Air Quality: Some mini-split systems come equipped with advanced filtration technology that helps remove dust, allergens, and other pollutants from the air.

What’s Next

Professional Assessment: Consult with a Daikin Pro for a precise load calculation to determine the correct size for your mini-split system. They will recommend the ideal installation location and the type of system best suited for your needs.
